Dr. Mitchell Kosny, Professor Emeritus of the Ryerson School of Urban and Regional Planning in Toronto.

Mitchell Kosny has a long history of engagement in strategic planning and leadership in local government capacity-building projects in South Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and China.  As former Director and Professor at Ryerson, Dr. Kosny is also intimately involved with local planning/ governance issues and the political scene in the City of Toronto. During the past year, he has been a regular speaker about Smart Cities, leadership and governance to municipal politicians and managers in Lima, Barcelona, Algiers, Prague and Stockholm.
