Manager with experience in administration and communication management, an expert in the field of social policy.

He started his professional career in one of the Open Pension Funds, later he worked in the Pension Fund Supervisory Office. He then became a specialist journalist in Gazeta Prawna dealing with social policy, where he also headed the Work Department. In his career he was also the head of the department in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, deputy editor-in-chief of Rzeczpospolita daily and Wprost weekly. He hosted the programme ‘Economics Report’ on Telewizja Republika.

In 2015 he was appointed Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, where he was responsible for family policy and digitisation. He successfully implemented, among others, the 500+ Programme, the Good Start Programme, and developed a network of institutions for the care of small children. He is also a co-author of the introduction of the first full e-document (mKDR) in Poland and the digitisation of the process of applying for family benefits. During his work in the Ministry he was a member of the Committee for European Affairs, the Housing Council (Mieszkanie+ programme) and the team for the development of the ‘Polish Immigration Policy’.

He combined his professional work with expert activities. He was an expert on social policy at the Sobieski Institute, was a member of the Expert Group of the Union of Large Families 3+, he was also a co-author of the Government's Family Policy, created in 2006-2007.

Winner of the Economic Award of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers, Award of Krzysztof Dzierżawski, Tulipan Narodowego Dnia Życia, Ostre Pióro Award, Primus in Agendo Award. Author of two books: ‘Wszystko o oszczędzaniu na emeryturę w OFE’ (All about saving for retirement in an open pension fund), ‘Nie daj sobie wmówić’ (Don't let them tell you).

He graduated in Sociology at the University of Warsaw, completed doctoral studies in economics at the Institute of Labour and Social Affairs and postgraduate studies in international relations at the University of Warsaw and the National Defence University of Warsaw.

Privately: husband of Edyta, the father of five children, marathon runner
