8:00 – 10:00 – How will the Covid-19 pandemic impact the banking sector?
The European banking system has entered the current economic crisis in good shape with adequate capital backing and a high level of liquidity, largely due to the Basel regulations. However, the scale of the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic may turn out to be so great that the banking sector will be one of the most affected by the pandemic. During the meeting, we will discuss both, short-term challenges (such as profitability, mergers and acquisitions) and long-term challenges (how to protect banks from uncertainty).
15:00 – 16:30 – Polish Startups 2020
The purpose of the Roundtable Polish Startups 2020 meeting is to discuss the results of the flagship Report of the Startup Poland Foundation – Polskie Startupy 2020 and to conduct a discussion with panelists, the conclusions of which will be forwarded to decision-makers with an appeal to implement them and improve the functioning of the startup ecosystem in Poland. This year’s report is largely devoted to the situation caused by the Sars-COV-2 coronavirus pandemic.

During the meeting we will discuss, among others new business models (related to the response to changing customer expectations and the need to optimize costs) and building a coordinated security system for the financial sector.
