Chief Economist and Head of the Macroeconomic Analyzes Bureau,
Ernest Pytlarczyk has been, among others, Chief Economist of mBank. In the years 2006-2020 he headed the area of macroeconomic and market analyzes in this institution. In addition, he also gained experience in investor relations, supervision of strategic companies, M&A projects, and creating a new mBank Group strategy. Previously, he worked, among others as a researcher at the Institute of Business Cycles at the University of Hamburg and at the German Central Bank in Frankfurt. In 2002-2003 he was a financial market analyst at BRE Bank and Bank Handlowy in Warsaw.
Ernest Pytlarczyk is a PhD in Economics from the University of Hamburg (PhD thesis: "Construction and Bayesian Estimation of DSGE Models for the Euro Area"). He is a graduate of IESE University of Navarra (Advanced Management Program) and a scholarship holder of the University of Osnabrueck. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst title. He is also the author of scientific articles published in journals from the so-called Philadelphia List, books on economics and a laureate of forecasting and scientific competitions.
