Zbigniew Jagiełło
Head of the Supervisory Board of MCI Capital. He served as CEO of PKO Bank Polski from 2009 to 2021. During his tenure, PKO became the leader in Polish banking and rose to first place on the list of the highest valued Polish companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Jagiełło also initiated the creation of the BLIK Polish Payment Standard based on the IKO mobile application, which won the Retail Banker International ranking of banks' mobile applications from around the world twice, in 2018 and 2019. He was also the creator of the technological transformation of PKO Bank Polski, which allowed the company he managed to become the leader in mobile banking in the country with a 25% market share. He was the originator of the creation of the National Cloud Operator.
Since 1995, he has been an employee of capital market institutions. He started his career at Pioneer Pierwszy Polskie Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A., and in 1998, as Vice President of the Management Board, he co-founded PKO/Credit Suisse TFI S.A. In 2000 he took over the position of President of Pekao/Alliance TFI S.A. In 2001, after the merger of Pekao/Alliance TFI S.A. with Pioneer Pierwszy Polskie Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A., he was appointed President of the Management Board of Pioneer Pekao TFI S.A. and Pioneer Pekao Investment Management S.A.
He graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at Wroclaw University of Technology and holds an Executive MBA from the Gdansk Foundation for Management Development and Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University.
