BIO

PhD in Economics. Founder and former president of the Lewiatan Confederation. Vice-president of BUSINESSEUROPE, the largest employers' organization in the EU. Former Vice-President and Member of the Presidium of the Social Dialogue Council, she played an important role in the dialogue between the government, employers and trade unions. He belongs to the think-tank European Council on Foreign Relations. Since 2000, she has been chairing the Polish-Japanese Economic Committee. In the years 2006-2014 she was the president of Boeing for Central and Eastern Europe. He sits on the supervisory boards of Orange Polska SA and FCA Poland SA.

Former Minister of Industry and Trade in the government of Jan Krzysztof Bielecki (1991). Candidate for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland (2005).

Involved in social activities. She established the Prymus Foundation for the equalization of educational opportunities for rural children. Works at the Art Foundation. Stanisław Witkiewicz supporting the Witkacy Theater in Zakopane. Originator and co-founder of the NIKE Literary Award for the best book of the year for many years. Co-founder of the Congress of Women and advocate of increasing the participation of women in public life.

Winner of the Kisiel Prize and the Andrzej Bączkowski for her special contribution to the development of social dialogue in Poland and activities beyond political divisions. Decorated by the President of the Republic of Poland with the Commander's Cross with the Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star. In 2014, Newsweek placed her in the ranking of the 10 most influential women in Poland, and in 2015 she was included in the list of "50 Polish women who count" in the Gazeta Wyborcza ranking.
