He is a graduate of HEC Paris and the history departments of the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne and the University of Warsaw.

In 2013, he joined the Ministry of Environment in the team of climate negotiators at the UN Climate Summit COP19 in Warsaw. Prior to that, he gained experience in the field of finance in the private sector.

From 2015 to 2018, he headed the Environment desk at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels, where he negotiated draft environment and climate legislation in the Council’s working groups. In 2018, he acted as chief negotiator for the Polish COP24 Presidency in Katowice, preparing a package of decisions implementing the Paris Agreement, the so-called Katowice Rulebook. As of 2019, he again headed the Environment Desk at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU.
