Since 2003, he has been an employee of the Fraunhofer Institute ISE (Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE), headquartered in Freiburg, Germany. Since 2018, he has been coordinating all activities related to the topic of heat pumps at the Institute.

He studied at the Wrocław University of Technology and the University of Kassel, and received his PhD in 2014 in the field of heat pump efficiency evaluation.

He has participated in many German and international research projects, including the IEA Heat Pump Technologies Program. In the international project Annex 50 (Heat Pumps in Multi-Family Buildings), he serves as „Operating Agent”.
Member of numerous VDI (Verband Deutscher Ingenieure) guideline committees, board member of the „European Heat Pump Association” (EHPA), board member of the German „Society for Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology” DKV e.V., active member of the German (BWP) and Polish (PORT PC) heat pump association.

Author of numerous scientific publications on heat pumps and energy-efficient construction. Speaker and organizer of numerous conferences.
