Prof. Dariusz Jemielniak, PhD, is a professor of management at Kozminski University, where he heads the MINDS (Management in Networked and Digital Societies) department. Since 2016, he has also worked as a faculty associate at Harvard’s Berkman-Klein Center for Internet and Society. In 2019, he became the youngest PAS correspondent member in the social sciences and humanities ever. His research analyzes online communities through ethnographic as well as quantitative studies. He has habilitations in management (2009) and sociology (2014). Major books include „Common Knowledge?” (2014, Stanford University Press), „Collaborative Society” (2020, MIT Press, with A. Przegalinska), „Thick Big Data” (2020, Oxford University Press), „Strategizing AI in Business and Education” (2023, Cambridge University Press, with A. Przegalinska). Scholarship holder of Fulbright, „Polityka”, Foundation for Polish Science, among others. Since 2015 member of the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation. Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Escola S.A. Vice President of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 2022).
