Sławosz Uznański (PL) was selected as an ESA reserve astronaut in 2022. Born in Poland in 1984, Sławosz is a scientist and engineer.

Before his selection, he was working for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), where he oversaw the creation of a radiation-tolerant power converter control system which has been a core part of the Large Hadron Collider.

In September 2023, he started his training as a project astronaut at ESA’s European Astronaut Centre.
