BIO

Since July 2012, the general director of the S. Moniuszko Grand Theater in Poznań, and previously deputy director for artistic affairs of the institution. Since 2016, she has been a board member of the Opera Europe Association. Thanks to her active activity in the association, she has led, among other things, to the participation of the Poznań opera in the OperaVision project and cooperation with the most important institutions in Europe, such as La Monnaie, the Welsh National Opera and the National Opera in Warsaw. Since 2017, she has been a tutor for the annual Opera Management Course. She participated in the jury of the 10th edition of the European Opera-directing Prize competition organized by the Camerata Nuova Association, and in 2019 she made S. Moniuszko’s opera The Haunted Manor the subject of the next edition of the competition. In 2018, she represented Poland at the World Opera Forum in Madrid, and in 2022 she was a member of the jury of the 73rd AsLiCo Competition for Young Opera Singers She persistently works to promote S. Moniuszka’s work in Poland and abroad, including the Poznań opera during the Year of Moniuszka with a concert presentation of Halka at the Berlin Philharmonic, and was awarded the 2020 International Opera Prize (known as the „opera Oscar”) for her production of Paria.

It promotes socially engaged activities (MovINg Opera), and promoting young artists and contemporary opera (Opera Theater Laboratory, United States of Opera, composer commissions).

Founder and long-time chairman of the board of the Nuova Foundation, which organizes artistic events including the Spring Festival and Poznań Live. She also served as vice president of the MALTA Theater Festival Foundation.

In 1997-2003 she was associated with the H. Wieniawski Musical Society in Poznań. During this period, she co-created the Polish Artistic Presentation at the EXPO in Hanover and organized the promotion of the H. Wieniawski Competitions at MIDEM CLASSIC in Cannes, and in 2002-2003 served as Director of the Board Office. Her previous professional experience includes working for Polish Television S.A., working with the Dialogue of Four Cultures Festival in Lodz, and co-organizing the first New Classic Form Europe Festival in Lodz.

In 2016, she received the silver medal „Labor Omnia Vincit”, and in 2017, she was awarded the „Alumno Bene Merenti” from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
