BIO

Mark Boris Andrijanic is Vice President for International Markets at Kumo.AI, a Sequoia-backed venture with a mission to democratize access to advanced AI by bringing the world’s most powerful deep learning to organizations large and small. He also serves on the Governing Board of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT). Mark Boris was Slovenia’s first Minister of Digital Transformation between 2021 and 2022. In July 2022, Ukraine President Zelenskyy awarded him the Ukraine Peace Prize for his efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s digital resilience.

Before joining the government, Mark Boris led the National Digitalisation Council, an advisory body to the government of Slovenia, comprised of the leading experts on digital technologies. Between 2016 and 2021, he led Uber’s public policy and government relations in Central and Eastern Europe, establishing partnerships with national and local governments in green and shared mobility. Prior to joining Uber, Mark Boris was a Visiting Fellow at the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies in Brussels, focusing on the EU’s economic and digital policies. Before that, he advised the government of Sierra Leone on transparency reform.

Mark Boris received his Master’s in public policy from the University of Oxford and holds a law degree from the University of Ljubljana. He is a David Rockefeller Fellow at the Trilateral Commission and Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum.
