Jana Budkovskaja is running an early-stage tech ideas fund, a non-dilutive fund based in Estonia. It is called Prototron. The best teams get up to 35 000 eur as a non-dilutive investment. They were the first believers in successful companies like Comodule, Lingvist, and Bikeep – when they were basically only team-and-dream.

During the whole of my career, she has always been working in man-dominated sectors. Public sector and politics, technology as a physicist etc. As a woman from a minority and coming from a low-opportunity region, she can honestly say that I know what it is to come from “nothing”.

This journey Jana can easily spot this in others having experienced it herself, this personal experience is a key resource when it comes to mentoring, visioning and implementing innovation and impact projects in the startup field.
