Sołtys began his career as an economic journalist at Radio Three, with which he was associated from late 2007 to late 2016. He returned to Program III in mid-2017, but left after a few months. Between 2014 and 2015, he also served as deputy editor-in-chief of Bloomberg Businessweek Poland.

In 2025, he became head of editorial projects at Xyz, an independent economic news medium. He is responsible for creating and implementing projects for subscribers and with partners. He combines his work at Xyz with his role as head of Radio 357’s strategic team – he is responsible for the business model and finances.
