Dr Bohdan Pretkiel graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Law and Administration (WPIA) at the University of Warsaw (UW). He obtained his Doctor of Laws degree with distinction from this university in 2018. He was also educated at the University of Vilnius. Since February 2020, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UW (Chair of Logic and Legal Argumentation). Since 2012 at the WPIA UW he has been teaching, among others, legal logic and computer science in administration. Author of papers, scientific articles and monographs.

Lawyer and lawyer with many years of experience. He worked, inter alia, in law firms, where he dealt, for example, with problems of financial law. In the capital group, he served as CEO. From 2018 to 2021, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

Since 2006, he has been actively involved in the activities of non-governmental organisations, e.g. as an expert, speaker and manager.
Since December 2021, he has held the position of Financial Ombudsman.
