Assist. prof. Aleksandra Gąsecka is a cardiologist. She is an author of over 140 articles indexed in PubMed, recognized in the Forbes Women ranking as one of the hundred outstanding women of the year 2020. She is a principal investigator in several multi-centre clinical trials. Aleksandra Gąsecka-Van Der pol is a board member of the „Young Thrombosis Researchers Group” and the „Quality Improvement Committee” of the Association of Cardiovascular Interventions of the European Society of Cardiology, and laureate of the scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science for outstanding young scientists (2021), the Supertalents of Medicine awarded by „Puls Medycyny” (2021), the Special Award for the Excellent Young Lipidologists of the Polish Lipidology Society (2021), the Medwoman 2022 awarded by „Women of Medicine” Foundation. Privately she is a passionate of cycling and vegetarian cuisine.
