Dr. hab. eng. Katarzyna Matczyszyn is a professor of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and a visiting professor at the Centro Nazionale de Ricerche in Pozzuoli, Italy. Since her master’s studies, she has had the opportunity to work in various international research teams: both in Poland, as well as abroad: in Great Britain (Kingoston University in London, University of St Andrews in Scotland), in France (Universite d’Angers, Commisariat a l’Energie Atomique in Saclay , Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan, Unviersite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, Universite de Rennes 1, Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon etc.), in Spain (Politecnica de Madrid), or in Australia (Australian National University in Canberra). She recently completed an internship at the University of Colorado in Boulder in the USA and was a guest at the University of Hiroshima in Japan. She built a team around 3 major research projects in the interdisciplinary field of biophotonics, consisting mainly of wonderful young people, before and after PhD. Her scientific achievements currently include over 120 publications in international, recognized journals and over 1700 original citations, h-index 24.
