BIO

Dorota Masłowska, born 1983 is an artist, writer, author of the acclaimed „Wojna polsko-ruska pod flagą biało-czerwoną” [White and Red aka Snow White and Russian Red], for which she received the Paszport Polityki award and the Nike Award-winning „Pawia Królowa” [The Queen’s Peacock]. She is the author of the internationally staged dramas 'Dwoje biednych Rumunów mówiących po polsku’, 'Między nami dobrze jest’ and the soon to premiere play 'Bowie in Warsaw’ in Chicago.

Her novel 'Inni ludzie’ was published in 2018, and a film directed by Aleksandra Terpinska with the same title entered cinemas in March 2022. Winner of the 2020 Samuel-Bogumil Linde Preis.

In 2014 as „Mister D” she released the album „Society is unpleasant”, in 2023 her new album „Free” was released.

She lives in Warsaw.
