BIO

Piotr Krupa, a legal advisor, co-founder, and president of the international KRUK Group, which operates in 8 European markets: Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, France, and Germany. He is responsible for the Group’s long-term strategy, its geographical expansion, and digital development. He works towards shaping KRUK’s organizational culture, which supports the sustainable growth of the organization. He was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year prize in 2017 by EY.

He has served on the boards and supervisory bodies of many companies, including those belonging to the KRUK Group. From 2006 to 2012, he was on the Supervisory Board of the Financial Companies Union in Poland. Since 2019, he has been the Chairman of the University Council of the Wrocław University of Economics and a member of the Program Board of the Polish branch of the UN Global Compact Network. He works for a stable economic environment, climate, and civil society. He also supports KRUK’s involvement in cultural initiatives, such as Politics Passports, Grand Press Photo, Mountain of Literature Festival, and Grand Press competition.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Wrocław. He completed his judicial and legal training. Privately, he is a multiple marathon runner and seven-time IRONMAN. He is a patron and enthusiast of young art. He is the founder of Krupa Gallery, co-founder, and member of the Board of the Krupa Art Foundation, an independent contemporary art institution aiming to build dialogue among artists and expand cooperation between various cultural and artistic institutions. He is a philanthropist and co-initiator of the charitable foundation See Me, helping sick and disabled children.
