BIO

Janusz Wolski (born in 1986 in Wałbrzych) is a Polish political scientist, journalist, commentator, and civilian OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) analyst specializing in military and defense, particularly armored and anti-tank weapons.

He graduated in Political Science from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław in 2010, where he attended seminars under Professor Jerzy Juchnowski and defended his master’s thesis titled „The Military in the Politics of Polish Authorities in the Years 2004-2010.” Since 2010, he has been a doctoral student in sociology at the University of Wrocław. In the academic year 2011-2012, he conducted two original seminars on National Security at the University of Wrocław for second-year undergraduate students, focusing on „Military Potential of G20 Member States” and „Modern Technologies in Security and Defense.”

In 2012, he left academia to work in private medical business in Poland, which remained his main professional field until 2022. Since 2014, he has been involved in defense journalism in Poland, initially with the portal Dziennik Zbrojny and later with Dziennik Zbrojny Analiza, and since 2015 with Przegląd Sił Zbrojnych, as well as a regular contributor to Nowa Technika Wojskowa (2016), World Combat Vehicles, and FragOut! (2018). He is a journalist for Magnum-X publishing (Nowa Technika Wojskowa) and FragOut!. He is the author or co-author of five books and has written over a hundred articles in specialist periodicals.

Wolski is also involved in the OSINT industry, particularly in civilian analysis focused on military equipment. He is an author of analyses on military equipment and a defense industry consultant. He owns extensive social media profiles under his personal brand „Wolski on War,” which has been his main professional field since 2022. Since 2023, he has been a lecturer at the Polish Naval Academy in International Relations. Married since 2011, he has a son and a daughter, and he is also an avid photographer and enthusiast of bushcraft and industrial tourism.
