BIO

Vice President and Executive Director of the Open Dialogue Foundation (ODF) – an international NGO that defends human rights, democracy, and the rule of law, as well as being one of the leading Western organizations supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and refugees from that country since the Russian invasion. A graduate in diplomacy and international relations from Camilo José Cela University in Madrid, he previously studied English, Iberian studies, and management at the University of Warsaw. He was a scholar at the Stern Leadership Academy at Stanford University.

Since 2008, he has been based in Brussels, initially working in the European Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, co-organizing the first Polish presidency of the EU Council. He later worked for an American law firm, the World Federation of Advertisers, and founded the international Committee for the Defense of Democracy (KOD International) and the EU DisinfoLab – the first European NGO dedicated to combating disinformation. For two years, he served as the Brussels correspondent for Gazeta Wyborcza.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he has overseen the campaign for delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine and personally coordinates ODF missions to the front, for which he has been awarded the „Unity and Will” and „White Cross of Honor and Glory” orders by the Deputies of the Supreme Council of Ukraine – the first jointly with the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, and his deputy, the second jointly with members of the ODF team.

Privately, he is an active political and social commentator, writing for outlets such as EU Observer, Politico Europe, EurActiv, Onet.pl, and The Next Web. He publishes columns for KOD Małopolskie, occasionally commenting on events in the East on stations like BBC World News, Euronews, Al Jazeera, and TVN. He is the author of a brief „Survival Handbook in an Authoritarian Regime,” which reached 3 million recipients in the first month and was adapted into a 15-episode short film series. He is a member of the Rule of Law Team in the Advisory Council of the Nationwide Women’s Strike, and an enthusiast of climbing, skiing, and classic science fiction.
