Minister of Health – Izabela Leszczyna

Born on September 3, 1962, in Częstochowa, Poland. She is a Polish teacher, philologist, local government official, and politician.

She graduated in Polish philology from the Jagiellonian University. She completed numerous postgraduate studies, including philosophy and ethics, quality management in organizations, and public finance at the Warsaw School of Economics. She began her career as a Polish language teacher at Primary School No. 50 named after Gen. Władysław Sikorski in Częstochowa.

In 1996, she became a consultant at the Regional Teacher Training Center „WOM”. In 2006, she was elected to the city council in Częstochowa. Since 2007, she has continuously served as a Member of Parliament.

From 2013 to 2015, she held the position of Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Finance. In December 2021, she was elected as the vice-chairwoman of the Civic Platform party. On December 13, 2023, she was appointed as the Minister of Health.
