Joanna Bekker
Deputy Managing Director, Polityka Insight
Joanna Bekker is the deputy managing director of Polityka Insight. In 2016-2018, she headed PI’s business development department. Before joining PI, she worked at the European Parliament for eight years (2008-2016), serving as the EPP Group’s press advisor and as spokesperson for the Polish Delegation, among other roles. She organised the EPP Congress in Warsaw in 2019 and led one of the campaigns in the European elections in 2014. In 2014-2016, she was the political and communication advisor, and also headed the office of one of the vice presidents of the EPP and the EPP Group in the European Parliament. She has a degree in International Relations, specialising in European Integration, from Collegium Civitas, where she later taught an introductory course on European integration.
