Politician and social activist, known mainly for his commitment to maritime affairs and citizen participation in public life. He graduated from the University of Gdansk with a degree in law and earned an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the Warsaw School of Economics.

He worked for many years at Naftoport, where he was in charge of maritime economy.
Councilman of the City of Gdansk of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th terms. As a councilor, Piotr Borawski was a member of various committees, mainly dealing with economic and maritime policy. In 2014-2018 he chaired the Strategy and Budget Committee. One of the initiators of the Civic Budget in Gdansk and the In Vitro program. Head of the mobility team at the Union of Polish Metropolises.

He is also chairman of the Civic Platform in Gdansk. Since January 2019, he has served as deputy mayor of Gdansk. For 5 years he held the position for entrepreneurship and climate protection, currently Deputy Mayor for Mobility and Security. His activities are mainly focused on developing transportation infrastructure, public transport, road maintenance and ensuring proper security in Gdansk.

Outside of politics, Piotr Borawski is also involved in pro-environmental projects, especially those related to the Smart City and Smart Metropolis concepts. Privately, he is a dad of two boys and passionate about sports, especially volleyball.
