Colonel Jesse G. Chace, U.S. Army Garrison Poland, Garrison Commander
Colonel Jesse Chace was commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army through the ROTC program at Wake Forest University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology.
After attending the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, COL Chace served as the Senior Intelligence Officer (S2) for the 184th Ordnance Battalion, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, at Fort Gillem, Georgia.
After completing the Military Intelligence Officer Advanced Course in 2007, COL Chace joined the Asymmetric Warfare Group at Fort Meade, Maryland, where he served as an Intelligence Advisor, Headquarters and Headquarters Company Commander, and Plans Officer. In 2011, COL Chace was assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, where he served as the Group’s Military Intelligence Detachment Commander and Group S2. During this time, COL Chace also served as the Director of Intelligence (J2) for the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan. In 2013, COL Chace was detailed to the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia, where he served in a variety of roles, including Executive Assistant to the Associate Director for Military Affairs. In 2016, COL Chace joined the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Intelligence Brigade (JIB) at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. While assigned to the JIB, COL Chace served as the Operations Officer for the Joint Targets Squadron, followed by the Brigade’s Director of Operations (J3). In 2019, COL Chace assumed command of the 307th Military Intelligence Battalion (Forward Collection Battalion) in Vicenza, Italy, responsible for providing expeditionary, multi-discipline intelligence collection and exploitation in support of U.S. Africa Command. After graduating with distinction from the U.S. Naval War College in 2022, COL Chace returned to Langley, where he represented the Commander, U.S. Forces Korea / Combined Forces Command / United Nations Command to the U.S. Intelligence Community. COL Chace assumed command of U.S. Army Garrison-Poland at Camp Kosciuszko, Poland in June 2024.
COL Chace holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
COL Chace has multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), and various individual, campaign, and unit awards. He has also earned the Army Parachutist and Pathfinder Badge.
