Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznan.

He is one of the initiators of integrating oncologists with urologists. His special interest has been directed to the treatment of patients with prostate cancer. In the author’s prospective clinical trial, he compared treatment outcomes for hormone therapy alone to hormone therapy combined with conformal radiotherapy. The second leading research topic was to evaluate the role of early postoperative radiotherapy in patients with prostate cancer at increased risk of failure after surgical treatment. The results of both studies confirmed the significant therapeutic gain resulting from the use of radiotherapy in prostate cancer.

In 2008 he was entrusted with the position of head of the Oncology Radiation Therapy Unit I, and in 2011 he was additionally appointed Head of the Radiation Therapy Unit I at the Wielkopolska Oncology Center, a position he still holds. Since 2010, he has been appointed by the Governor of Wielkopolska as a consultant in radiation oncology for the Wielkopolska province.

He is a member of numerous scientific societies at home and abroad and a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals (Reports of Practical Oncology and Radiotherapy, Contemporary Brachytherapy, Onkologia Polska, Współczesna Onkologia) and Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Zeszyty Naukowe Wielkopolskiego Centrum Onkologii.

Author of numerous publications in reputable scientific journals, he has presented the results of his own scientific research on the treatment of prostate cancer 3 times at a very prestigious conference of the American Society for Radiation Oncology: American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), and 2 times the above-mentioned research was awarded with qualification to the group of the most important conference presentations, receiving the status of the so-called “The Best of ASTRO”.
