Krzysztof Bolesta is an appointed official of the European Commission, where he worked from 2004 to 2012, and from 2020 to 2024. From 2000 to 2004, he supported accession negotiations and Poland’s adjustment to EU requirements in the areas of „energy” and „research and development.”

From 2012 to 2015, he was a member of the political cabinet of two Polish Environment Ministers and a member of the supervisory board of the Regional Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund in Lublin. Negotiator of the second European energy and climate package. In addition, he served as an advisor to the President of Poland at COP19 (United Nations Climate Change Conference).

From 2016 to 2018, research director at the Policy Insight think tank. Co-founder of a non-governmental organization, the Foundation for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles, where he served as vice president from 2018 to 2020.

Participant in two Euro-Atlantic exchange programs, the US State Department’s International Leadership Program and the German-American Marshall Fund program.

In 2014, awarded the Silver Cross by the President of the Republic of Poland for his contribution to the strengthening and development of European integration.
