Piotr Dardziński,
Creator of the groundbreaking Act on Implementation PhDs in the Polish market and coordinator of the work on the new concept of functioning of research institutes. He oversaw the process of establishing the Łukasiewicz Research Network and became the first president to lead its construction and development from April 2019 to February 2023. The Łukasiewicz Research Network, is the third largest research network in Europe, bringing together 22 research institutes with 7,000 employees to provide comprehensive solutions for business. From 2015 to 2019, he was undersecretary and then secretary of state at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education responsible for cooperation between science and business.
He oversaw the government agency National Centre for Research and Development, the National Agency for Academic Exchange and the research institute Centre for Information Processing. As a member of the Innovation Team, he coordinated the inter-ministerial work on the first and second Innovation Act, as a result of which the allowances for R&D activities increased from 30% to 100% and 150% for the research and development centre. Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Hamburg. Doctor of Humanities. Lecturer at the Jagiellonian University. Scholarship holder at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and graduate of the prestigious Business School in Barcelona implemented by IESE.
Currently director of the Innovation Centre at the Warsaw University of Technology.
